Health executive with more than 30 years’ experience in public health, nursing and leadership.
Tami Photinos has held many executive roles at Metro North Health and is currently appointed as The Prince Charles Hospital Executive Director. She is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at University of Queensland.
Tami commenced her nursing training at the then Royal Brisbane in 1985 and has remained with the hospital for 31 years. She also completed her midwifery studies in 1990-1991 at the Royal Women’s Hospital where she worked at the Grantley Stable Neonatal Unit. She has since worked in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Retrieval Services (Life-flight) and also coordinated the Early Management of Severe Trauma courses for the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
Tami is a passionate advocate for ensuring the community has the best possible care and equitable access to services. She was awarded the Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal and Australia Day Medal for her services following the Banda Aceh Tsunami relief.
